New monthly supporter community powers free driver health tools and the movement behind Project 61; first 100 supporters receive a 61 Nation Founders Kit

CARMEL, IN | [02/26/26] Project 61, the nonprofit spearheading an industry-wide movement to help truck drivers live longer, healthier lives, today announced the launch of 61 Nation, a monthly supporter community created for individuals and stakeholders across trucking who want to personally support driver well-being and be part of changing what’s considered normal.

61 Nation offers a simple way to stand with the men and women behind the wheel, helping keep Project 61’s driver-first tools free and expanding. Supporters can join at $20 per month.

61 Nation complements Project 61’s corporate partnerships by giving individual industry stakeholders a simple way to personally support the movement and help keep driver resources free.

“We’ve heard it everywhere we go: people want to personally support driver health and be part of this movement,” said Jeremy Reymer, Founder of Project 61. “61 Nation is the simplest way to stand with the men and women behind the wheel and help us keep building free tools that change lives.”

“Trucking is a tough environment for health. You don’t win with one-time programs, you win with consistency,” said Dr. Mark Manera, President and Chief Health Officer of Project 61. “61 Nation creates the steady support that lets us keep building tools drivers will actually use, month after month.”

61 NATION FOUNDERS KIT

To celebrate the launch, the first 100 supporters who join 61 Nation at $20 per month or more will receive a 61 Nation Founders Kit, which includes a hat, stickers, wristbands, and a 61 Nation pin.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Truck driver health is personal. It affects drivers, it affects their families, and it affects the moments in life that matter most. And it’s also an industry issue, increasing safety risk, cost, and long-term sustainability challenges.

Based on the best available published research, truck drivers face a severe and under-addressed health and mental health crisis.

  • Estimated average truck driver life expectancy: 61
  • Obesity rate: ~70%
  • Truck driver suicide risk is among the highest of major occupation groups
  • Truck drivers are ~6.2× more likely to experience depression or other mental health issues than office workers
  • Elevated chronic disease increases healthcare claims, medical card risk, fatigue-related safety risk, and turnover

Project 61 exists to confront this crisis with practical tools that fit real life on the road, and a movement that makes healthy behavior culturally normal in trucking.

WHAT 61 NATION SUPPORTS

61 Nation supporters help keep Project 61 free for drivers by funding:

  • Free driver health products: Offshift by Project 61, challenges, and driver-first content
  • Education across the 5 Axles of Health: Fuel, Move, Recharge, Mental Drive, Preventative Maintenance
  • Road-ready resources beyond the app: recipe books, restaurant and truck stop guides, and other practical tools
  • Community and outreach that expand the movement across fleets, families, and the industry

JOIN 61 NATION

Project 61 is calling on the entire trucking industry and supply chain, plus anyone who cares about the people behind the wheel, to reject 61 as the norm and support the movement changing the health trajectory of trucking.
